Meet the Principal

Welcome to Jeffco Virtual Academy! My name is Renee Williams and I am the proud principal of JVA! You may have landed on this page because you or someone you love is interested in enrolling in our full-time middle or high school program. Or maybe you are a current Jeffco student and interested in taking a few courses with us. Or maybe, you’re curious about online learning and want to know if JVA may be right for you. Whatever your reason for stopping by, I’m sure glad that you did!

JVA may be the coolest school that I have ever had the pleasure of leading. The reason is because we personalize learning for a wide variety of student needs. You may not want (or be able) to go to school for a full day (sitting in a seat for 7 hours is a challenge for many students!) You may have struggled with in-person learning for a long time, but find that working at your own pace and on your own schedule makes learning more enjoyable. You may be an incredible student athlete, scholar, musician, creative type, or even budding business person and need a flexible schedule that allows you to pursue what you love while earning your high school diploma. Whatever the reason for attending JVA, when you’re here, you have the ability to take control of your learning and work with dedicated, highly skilled, and caring professionals to reach your goals. Learning looks different at JVA and our staff is proud to lead the way in making a high school diploma attainable, flexible, and adaptable to your unique needs.
