Part-Time Program

Jeffco Virtual Academy offers asynchronous classes for grades 7-12, even if your primary enrollment is at another Jeffco school!

High School

Part-time courses at Jeffco Virtual Academy are completely online for independent learners where students learn online asynchronously AND attend another Jeffco school full-time.  If you need a class and can't fit it into your schedule or your school doesn't offer it, contact JVA!

Part-time is normally defined as taking one or two courses at a time at Jeffco Virtual Academy.

Weekly Requirements:

  • Complete weekly course work (courses usually publish a week's worth of work at a time which is due the following week allowing for flexibility in when the learning happens)
  • Communicate with teachers

Other Requirements:

  • Reside in Colorado
  • Younger than 21
  • May take 1-2 courses (a 3rd course can be added with approval from the home school principal and the JVA principal)
  • NEW - Counselors at the full-time school are notified to approve enrollment after application submission. Families will be notified if they are approved to be placed on the waitlist.
  • NEW - Only once a course reaches 15 student requests will a course be offered.

Other Opportunities:

  • Invited to all JVA events and activities
  • Outdoor Lab interns often enroll part-time with JVA for the flexibility needed in scheduling classes.
