Creating Your Own Schedule
Creating a schedule AND sticking to it are two of the most important skills online students need to develop. Here are some tips to remember:
- Each class takes five to eight hours per week to complete.
- Create a schedule based on schoolwork.
- Wake, eat and dress at the same times every day.
- Prioritize your schedule based on when you're most focused.
- Set boundaries and communicate them to those you work around. Explain how you are juggling school and home.
- Tell them when you need to be in “do-not-disturb” mode.
- Take a 10-minute break for every hour of work. Don’t overextend yourself due to the remote work dynamic.
- Reward your efforts!
