Life in NHS
Jeffco Virtual Academy Otters Jessica and Noah were inducted into the National Honor Society at a virtual ceremony on Oct. 24, 2023. They are pictured taking their NHS pledge by candlelight with JVA assistant principal Victoria Silverio and NHS co-sponsors and teachers Katherine Self and Lena Schorr.
Jessica and Noah applied and were accepted into NHS based on their grades, a letter they wrote about the way that they empower the character traits of the NHS (scholarship, service, leadership and character) as well as their ideas for a service project that the NHS can do.
“We are excited to work with these new NHS members this year, and we hope that more students from JVA join us in future years as well!” said Ms. Self.
